HI
I am Karis. I am a ceremonial artist who bridges the gap between the physical and the spiritual to restore inner balance and soul connection. In my practice, I blend meditative art techniques, ancestral wisdom, and modern practices to create transformative containers that release stagnant energies and stress from the mind and the body.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
In one of my sessions, online or in person, I take you on a journey to release stagnant energy and stress in the mind and body using a range of different techniques. We move through a very simple yet powerful flow.
REGULATE
Using breathwork and gentle yoga techniques to reset the vagal nerve into rest and digest, that nice exhale feeling. Using gentle movement to relax into the present moment.
RELEASE
We put pen to paper (or whatever other materials you feel called to express yourself with) to bring the mind and body into harmony, to see what needs to be released, expressed, or even delivered as a message from the higher self to you in this moment.
RECALIBRATE
We anchor intentions into aligned action, set intentions for the week ahead, after taking the time to pause, ground, and connect with ourselves.
This isn’t an exercise in making pretty art. Of course that can happen, but it isn’t our aim. Our intention is to allow our flow to reveal something to us, whether that is expressing something that has been suppressed or taking time to slow down and process the week.
When we are so used to running through life at a fast pace, it can be hard to slow down. So by using art in this way, we create space to slow down with presence, giving the mind something to focus on and creating a rhythm between mind and body.
I hold weekly ceremonial art sessions inside the PLAYGROUND, a community space where we gather each week to share our downloads and insights. It’s a place to rebuild the sense of tribe that modern society has stripped away.
Rooted in ancient ways and adapted for the modern world, this is a space where spiritual insight meets real life. Through play, art, and shared expression, we integrate what we receive so it doesn’t stay in ceremony alone. We reawaken ancestral wisdom in a way that can actually be lived, so spirituality holds up beyond the ritual and into everyday life.
